SPECIFICATIONS

Sealmaster's SF-47 is a cast iron flange unit designed to hold a perpendicular shaft using a permanently installed bearing insert. The unit is mounted onto a surface with four bolts and machined as a single piece with foot pads to dampen vibration and provide rigidity. A grease fitting is included for applying lubrication after installation. The bearing is fixed to an inserted shaft with two setscrews located at 120-degree intervals. The bearing also has a self-adjusting design that corrects for misalignments.

The bearing's outer ring is fixed in place using a pin-and-dimple design. This double-sealed ball bearing insert is designed to withstand moderate radial or thrust loads. The bearings are manufactured from degassed chrome steel, and a black oxide coating on the inner and outer races provides corrosion resistance. Flange bearing units like the SF-47 are designed for industrial applications like blowers, processing equipment, and construction machinery.
